Back off, dangerous drivers!

Here's the link to my column in the Northants Telegraph that was published on 18/12/14. It's about idiots who drive too close to the car in front and equally inconsiderate drivers who don't seem to be able to park a vehicle in the proper way in car parks.

Agree? Disagree? - As always, feel free to post a comment here or on the article on the Northants Telegraph website.....

Things are a changing....

Quick update folks: From now on a brief description and a link to my latest article will be found here on my main page. Older film and newspaper column pieces will still be available in an archive in their respective sections. These sections can be found to the right of the "HOME" tab, under "FILM" and "COLUMN."

If you wish to receive these links to the latest pieces as I update the blog, please pop your email address into the "Follow by email" box in the right hand column of the main page. Once you've done that, you shall receive my latest link or blog update as and when I publish one.

I have a few ideas in mind for expanding The Average Man blog in the new year, which could be interesting, a little different and will mean a variety of regular features. You'll just have to wait and see what it'll be!

I've just finished writing my latest piece for my column in the Northants Telegraph and I'd like to say thanks to all of you who have visited the site, or purchased the print edition, and read my columns so far; it is nice to know that I share some views with others and that some of you enjoy reading them!

As I write this, I am listening to the fantastic Howard Shore soundtrack from Lord of the Rings. I watched the final Hobbit film yesterday, The Battle of the Five Armies, and it seems a shame that there will be no more tales of Bilbo or Frodo and their companions. It is understandable of course, since the material concerning the particular group has been exhausted, but there is still an incredible amount of Tolkien's work that I'm sure somebody may want to use. They should bear in mind though that I'm sure that Peter Jackson has deserved the right to possess the "one ring" that has the power of Tolkien's literal magic; perhaps he is the only one who can wield it's power and do it justice...

Until next time....
