I got a little bit flustered this week about our recent changes to celebratory days. It is important that we don't let the outbreak of national "weeks" and international something or other days to encourage the title changes and their meanings. Shrove Tuesday and St.Valentine's Day are amongst the victims. Also, it is surely time to recognise St.George's Day with an official bank holiday.
